SRAA “Nationals” REGATTA: May 22 - 24, 2025

Oakton Crew will send qualifying boats, rowers, coxswains, and alternates to the SRAA 2025 Nationals, held on May 23 & 24. The team will travel via commercial carrier and parent vehicles on Thursday, May 22nd. We will stay together in Mt. Laurel, NJ and return on Saturday, May 24th at the conclusion of racing.

Teammates should bring a bagged lunch and a full water bottle for the drive. Also, wear your practice clothing on the bus so everyone is ready to go when we reach the river.

The Nationals Logistics team will work with OHS office staff to arrange excused absences for teammates; parents & teammates should contact their teachers to arrange make-up work for Thursday and Friday.  

Although the team travels together in commercial bus, we need SafeSport Certified parent volunteers to assist with check-ins, chaperone hotel floors, help with pasta dinners at the hotel, and help at the Athlete/Parent tent to feed our team on both days.  Please visit the Signup Genius to sign up for a volunteer shift, and we ask that every parent planning to attend select two shifts.  

COST: TBD per teammate: Covers gas, hotel, Thursday & Friday pasta dinners, and food & beverages at the regatta Friday & Saturday; students may wish to bring additional spending money for shopping or outside snacks.

HOTEL INFORMATION:

We have a block of rooms reserved for the team at the Staybridge Suites in Mt. Laurel, NJ (a 20 minute drive from the course). Parents must make their own arrangements by calling the hotel. Parents who do not wish to stay with the team should find their own accommodations as soon as possible. Several hotel options are available in the area. We recommend that you consider carpooling with other parents or using a service such as Uber.

PARENTS MUST BE SAFESPORT CERTIFIED & BACKGROUND CHECKED TO PARTICIPATE WITH TEAM. SafeSport Certified Parents are invited and encouraged to attend this trip with the team.
